UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Srinivas Subramanya Tamvada, a 2001 Penn State laptop science alumnus, joined the Faculty of Engineering’s Harold and Inge Marcus Division of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering as an assistant educating professor on Aug. 15. 

Tamvada contributes to the service methods engineering program (SSE) alongside Vittal Prabhu, professor and Charles and Enid Schneider School Chair in Service Enterprise Engineering, and Lisa Petrine, SSE program supervisor.

Tamvada’s analysis focuses on bigdata-driven optimization with purposes within the transportation trade. He goals to create progressive methods of fixing optimization issues, whereas concurrently growing computational strategies which are usually relevant for a wide range of industries.
